How to import photos/videos to my device?

You're taking your photos and videos with a digital camera or a GoPro? Here's how you can import those assets on your iOS device to create a Quik video! 

QUIK IOS

GoPro+

  • Cloud Access to content, up to 35 hours of video or 62,500 photos or a combination of the two
  • Access all your GoPro footage directly from Quik
  • Your media can be directly synchronized from Quik Desktop to your GoPro+ account
  • You can also add media to your GoPro+ account manually (+ Add Media button top right corner)

Capture

  • Select your GoPro footage and import it to Capture 
  • Open "Media" / "Local" and select the clips you want to use for a Quik video
  • Tap the Quik button on the bottom bar
  • If you select your assets directly from your GoPro and tap Quik, all assets will have to be downloaded locally first which can take some time

Synchronisation with iTunes: 

  • Add all your photos and videos to a folder that you drag in the folder "Pictures"  
  • In iTunes: go to your iPhone/iPad, then in the section "Photos"  
  • Check the option "Synchronize photos from"  
  • Choose the folder "Pictures"  
  • Check the option "Selected folders" and choose your folder with your medias 
  • Don't forget to check the option "include videos"
  • Your medias will be found under the tab "All Photos / Photos" in Quik

iCloud Shared Albums:

  • Go to the iPhoto app on your Mac 
  • Import your videos in iPhoto 
  • Select the asset you want to use and share them in an iCloud album 
  • On your iCloud-synced iDevice (iPhone or iPad), you'll see these new videos. It might take a few minutes to synchronize. 
  • You will find the albums in Quik under the tab "All Photos / Photos" in Quik

QUIK ANDROID

GoPro+

  • Access all your GoPro footage directly from Quik
  • Your media can be directly synchronized from Quik Desktop to your GoPro+ account
  • You can also add media to your GoPro+ account manually (+ Add Media button top right corner)

Capture

  • Select your GoPro footage and import it to Capture
  • Open "Media" / "Local" and long press on the media to select it
  • Tap the Quik button on the top bar
  • If you select your assets directly from your GoPro and tap Quik, all assets will have to be downloaded locally first which can take some time

Google Photos

  • Import your photos and videos to your Google Photos
  • Choose the option "original size" in the Google Photos settings to have the best quality
  • Your media will be accessible from the Google Photos tab, either in "All Photos" or in the individual albums

Android Transfer

  • Download Android File Transfer
  • Plug your device to your computer
  • On your device choose "Use USB for File Transfers"
  • Move your files from your computer to your device into the "Download" file for example
  • You can find the Download file in "Gallery" or in "Albums" in Quik
  • Be aware, Android does not support .mov files
